Monchique is located in the south of Portugal and is considered a tourist hot spot, with attractions such as the historic town center, sightseeing, hiking, natural hot springs and nearby health spas.
A heliport is a landing and take-off area for aircraft such as helicopters. Our lighting system makes it easier, safer and faster for pilots to manoeuvre the aircrfaft. Therefore, quality products are crucial for an optimal heliport. For the Monchique heliport, we used the following products:
- inset TLOF lights
- inset FATO lights
- inset ALIGNMENT lights
- 60W Floodlight – used for lighting and beaconing the heliport
- Heliport Beacon – signals the presence of a heliport by flashing the letter H in Morse code
- Basic Beacon Controller – powers and controls the heliport beacon
As always, the lighting systems and products used for the Monchique heliport comply with ICAO and FAA regulations, whilst also keeping in mind the specific needs of the costumer.
