For this project, Signalight manufactured an Inset FATO lights system.
Presidential Residence Jurata-Hel is a representational and conference center that can be reached from land, by sea and from the air – there is a functional heliport.
Heliports, where night operations are conducted, need proper lighting systems.
Challenge
Signalight replaced old inset lights with INSET LED heliport lights. The replacements were adapted to fit exactly in the existing shallow bases and to be powered from the same supply unit.
We have used Inset Heliport FATO lights as heliport inset lights, useful for illuminating the final approach and take-off area. These products are low consuming energy and are certified according to international standards.
The Heliport FATO lights are marking the Final Approach and Take-off Area (FATO) area. FATO elevated lights designed and manufactured by Signalight are tested for working environments from -50 to + 50 °C and are having a degree of protection IP 67. UV-protected polycarbonate makes the FATO elevated lights resistant to sun radiation.
The light source is made with white LEDs and special lenses in order to respect the ICAO specifications and standards.
LEDs are having more than 100000 working hours expected lifetime.
The Heliport TLOF is a steady omnidirectional green light necessary for marking the touchdown and lift-off (TLOF) area.
These lights need to be located on TLOF boundaries. The number of the lights depends: if the TLOF is a circle we need a minimum of 14 lights and if the TLOF is a square we need a minimum of 4 lights for each side.
It’s important to know that all the Signalight heliport / helipad lighting products and systems are designed and manufactured with simplicity and easy maintenance in mind and are certified/compliant according to international standards ICAO, FAA.
