For this project, Signalight designed and manufactured elevated heliport lights.
A heliport is a small airport suitable for use by helicopters and other vertical lift aircraft. Typically, a heliport contains one or more touchdown and liftoff areas and may also have some facilities. Illuminating the heliport is important, especially on the heliports where night operations are conducted.
Private heliports tend to be developed for easy and rapid access purposes.
We delivered for this project two types of heliport perimeter lights:
• Elevated FATO
• Elevated heliport TLOF
Elevated FATO lights are marking the Final Approach and Take-off Area (FATO) of the heliport area.
Signalight elevated FATO is tested for working environments from -50 to + 50 °C and are having a degree of protection IP 67.
All the materials used to manufacture this type of light are high quality.
Elevated TLOF is marking the Touchdown and Lift-Off (TLOF) of the heliport area.
Also, these lights were tested for working environments from -50 to + 50 °C and are having a degree of protection IP 67.
Signalight produces a complete heliport elevated Lights product range, mounted on base plates with frangible coupling. All the lights and systems are manufactured from high-quality materials and are specially designed for the approach and take-off procedures on the heliports.
The lighting systems are using advanced high-power LED technology.
The LEDs used by Signalight are having a value of 50.000 hours and are laboratory tested.
Having almost no maintenance at all, LED-based lighting fixtures are suitable for use in difficult access areas. These lighting products are lightweight, low-energy consuming, and environment friendly.
All the Signalight illuminating products and systems are based on advanced technology, ease of maintenance, and are certified/compliant according to international standards ICAO, FAA.
